I do apologize for posting this a day after the actual holiday. I remember waking up an hour earlier yesterday, I was even able to do the groceries at exactly 10am with baby yesterday and was done most of my chores by 11:45am. I even finished folding laundry in the afternoon. It’s a bit of a blur after 12pm to 3pm and even after 4pm. I did take a nap around 2:30pm, or at least I tried to. Anyway, enough with yesterday’s day and let’s learn about Memorial Day Weekend:

Memorial Day is an American federal holiday that was actually called Decoration Day by “General John A. Logan, leader of an organization for Northern Civil War veterans.” –History.com, Section: Decoration Day.

General Logan issued the holiday for the 30th of May, 1868. It has since been changed for the last Monday in May.

It’s been said that this American holiday is celebrated by remembering and honoring fallen soldiers. People may do this by visiting a lost loved one’s burial site and decorating it with American colors. Many cities hold parades for the armed forces.

    1. Thank you very much, demovujo for the info! With taking care of an infant and a new home, I really need to step up my exercising game. I will commit to walking each day at least once a day. I even have a treadmill in the basement but walking outside with my baby is more important especially before Winter comes!!! I always eat enough protein and fats. It`s those carbs that I have to keep in check. I still do intermittent fasting but not as often as I did back in the Summer. Do you have a website about Keto? I would love to learn more and even share your posts on my blog.
